Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Alizo. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Alizo ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Alizo website and services (the "Platform"). By registering an account or using any feature of the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. About Alizo

Alizo is an online marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers across a range of professional service categories including, but not limited to, event management, photography, catering, cleaning, and tutoring. Alizo acts as a platform intermediary — we facilitate the connection and the transaction, but we are not the service provider ourselves.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@alizo.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • You may not create more than one personal account or create an account on behalf of another person without their consent.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Services & Bookings

Placing a booking

When you submit a booking request, you are making an offer to purchase the described service. The booking is confirmed when the service provider accepts it and payment is successfully processed.

Provider responsibilities

Service providers are independent contractors, not employees of Alizo. Each provider is solely responsible for the quality, safety, and delivery of their services. Alizo does not warrant that any service listed on the Platform will meet your expectations.

Availability

Service listings are subject to provider availability. Acceptance of a booking request is at the provider's discretion. If a provider is unable to fulfil your booking, you will not be charged, or you will receive a full refund if payment has already been processed.

5. Payments & Fees

  • All prices displayed on the Platform are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
  • Payments are processed securely. Alizo does not store your full card details.
  • Some services may offer a deposit + balance payment model. In this case, you pay a partial amount to confirm the booking, and the remaining balance is due before the scheduled service date.
  • A booking is not fully confirmed until complete payment (or, where applicable, the required deposit) is received.
  • Alizo may charge a platform service fee on top of the provider's price. This fee, if applicable, will be clearly shown before you confirm your booking.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Customer cancellations

  • More than 7 days before the scheduled date: full refund of all amounts paid.
  • 3–7 days before the scheduled date: 50% refund of the service fee; deposit may be non-refundable.
  • Less than 3 days before the scheduled date: no refund, except where the provider is at fault.
  • Bookings that have already been confirmed and fully paid cannot be cancelled through the Platform. Please contact support in such cases.

Provider cancellations

If a provider cancels a confirmed booking, the customer will receive a full refund of all amounts paid. Providers who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings may have their provider status suspended.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in bookings, reviews, or communications.
  • Attempt to bypass the Platform to arrange payments with providers directly, thereby avoiding platform fees.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, providers, or Alizo staff.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications.
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce Platform content without written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure.

8. Reviews & Content

  • Only users who have fully paid for a confirmed booking may submit a review for that service.
  • Reviews must be honest, based on your genuine experience, and must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or defamatory content.
  • By submitting a review or any other content on the Platform, you grant Alizo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and reproduce that content on the Platform.
  • We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms, following a fair review process.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Alizo Platform — including the logo, brand name, design, text, graphics, and software — is the property of Alizo or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Alizo is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by independent providers.
  • Alizo's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Alizo in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
  • Alizo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.
